Studied in: Imperial Moscow University (since 1940 Moscow Lomonosov State University) (1916);
Key interests: stellar dynamics, minor bodies of the Solar System, stellar catalogues, instruments and devices, variable stars, stellar systems
Biography:
He was born 4 (on the Julian calendar and June 16 on the Gregorian calendar) in 1891 (according to other sources it happened one day earlier) in Kishinev city, the Bessarabian province of the Russian Empire (since 1991 the capital of the Republic of Moldova) in the priest's family.
In 1916 young man graduated from Imperial Moscow University (since 1940 Moscow Lomonosov State University) in the Department of Astronomy and was left with him to prepare for the title of professor.
During 1915-1922 he worked at the Odessa Observatory under the direction of O.Ya. Orlov.
Since 1922 he worked at the Siméez Department of the Pulkovo Observatory, and in 1924 he became director of the Symuez Observatory.
The main astronomical papers are devoted to the study of the rays of stars. Together with G.A. Shaynom, he cataloged radiation rays about 800 stars (Together, Shain G. A. determined the beam velocity of 343 stars). Opened the star (HD 161817), which has one of the highest beam velocities in the galaxy - 360 km / s. Discovered several dozen spectral double stars and identified their orbits.
He also studied the small bodies of the solar system. Discovering 10 new small planets (including Olbersia, Mussorgsky, Komsomolia). On May 25, 1924, the asteroid 1030 was discovered in the main belt, which, during the Great Patriotic War the USSR against fascist Germany, which is part of the Second World War, was called "Vitya" (Latin Vitja) in honor of the young machine gunner Victor Zaslavsky, who was killed in the battles, with whom the astronomer was personally acquainted.
During 1927-1929 the scientist was engaged in the study of variable stars.
With the beginning of the Great Patriotic War of the USSR against Germany in 1941-1945, which was part of World War II, she was evacuated with other employees to the Abastuman Astrophysical Observatory.
In 1951 he defended his doctoral dissertation.
In 1952, the astronomer constructed a spectrograph, set up at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory on a 50-inch reflector.
He is the author of several sections of the "Course of Astrophysics and Stellar Astronomy", published in 1951.
Died June 15, 1952
His name in 1950 was called the small planet No. 1783 Albinsky, which was discovered by G. N. Neuwin on March 24, 1935 at the Simeiz Observatory.
