Main actors in astronomy research in the country  There are 7 Research Institutes in the structure of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NAS of Ukraine), 2 Research Institutes in the structure of the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sport of Ukraine (MESYS of Ukraine); 15 astronomical observatories and Departments in the structure of the Universities of the MESYS of Ukraine; 1 Private Astronomical Observatory play a main role in the development and teaching Astronomy in Ukraine.
 
The XPM Catalog  Absolute proper motions of 280 million stars distributed all over the sky without gaps in the magnitude range 10m < V <20m on the basis of combined data from 2MASS and USNO-A2.0 catalogues.
 
MAO NASU Plate Archive   Digital archive of MAO NAS of Ukraine (GPA) comprises data of about 26 thousands of direct photographic plates, obtained with 14 instruments in 9 observational sites, and more than 2000 digital images of different resolution available via GPA search pages.
 
Mykolaiv AO Plate Archive   Digital archive of Mykolaiv Aastronomical Observatory (MykAO) includes astronomical data obtained during observations with photo plates and CCD frames. The digitization of the archive is near its completion. Digitized images are available via a web browser and Aladin.
 
AO LNU Plate Archive   Astronomical Observatory of Lviv National University (AO LNU) is the owner of valuable archive that stores approximately 8 000 of photographic plates from 1939, including nearly 6 000 direct images of the northern sky. The archive is partly digitized and images are available via the joint search pages of AO LNU and MAO NASU.
 
IRA UTR-2 catalogue of RS   The very-low frequency sky survey of discrete sources has been obtained in the Institute of Radio Astronomy of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences (Kharkov, Ukraine) with the UTR-2 radio telescope at a number of the lowest frequencies used in contemporary radio astronomy within the range from 10 to 25 MHz.
 
Mykolaiv AO stellar catalogues   27 astrometric stellar catalogues of Mykolaiv Aastronomical Observatory (MykAO) in VOTable format are available for downloading
 
AO KNU Historic Plate Archive   AO KNU glass collection contains about 20 thousand photographic plates. Historical part of the archive was received during 1898-1946 and now is being digitized.

VOPlot v1.8 Beta 
VOPlot v1.8Beta includes many enhancements and bug fixes. To name a few v1.8Beta supports multi-grid plots for 2D Scatter-Plot which allows the user to have multiple plots having grid size from 1x1 to 3x3 in a single window. Paginated view is added to see data in tabular format which allows user to navigate systematically. Provision to label Lat/Long lines is also added. Users can now plot a cumulative histogram for all histogram types. VOPlot 1.8Beta shows the metadata of a FITS file instantaneously while the actual loading happens in background. VOPlot v1.8Beta also provides better handling of "faulty data" while parsing an ASCII file.

Biography:

He was born on September 14 (according to the Julian calendar or 26 according to the Gregorian calendar), 1809. in Ivahniki village of the Lohvytsky district of the Poltava province of the Russian Empire (since 1920, the Yahniki village (Yashnyky village) of the Lohvytsky district of the Poltava region of Ukraine).

Having lost his parents at an early age, he was devoted to his older brother at the Kharkiv Slobid-Ukrainian Gymnasium, which he successfully completed in 1826. In the same year, he entered the physics-mathematics department of the philosophy faculty (according to other data/now the physics -mathematical faculty) of the Imperial Kharkiv University, its physical and mathematical department, graduated from the course in 1829 with a candidate's degree and was left at the university as a tutor in mathematics for students.

Then, in the late 1930s, he worked at the Kharkiv Gymnasium, where he had previously studied, as a teacher of natural sciences and physics, and from 1831 at the Kharkiv Institute of Noble Girls as a physics teacher. In 1832, at the behest of the university council, he began lecturing on optics, then taught the basic principles of mathematics.

In 1835, he defended his dissertation in Kharkiv City: "Considerations about the progress after Euler, made in finding certain integrals, and about their definition", he received a master's degree in pure and applied mathematics and was appointed an adjunct, and six months later he received the position of acting the post of extraordinary professor for teaching applied mathematics until 1839. In 1838, he defended his thesis "On hydraulic wheels" in Kharkiv city for the degree of doctor of pure and applied mathematics.

In April 1839, M. A. Dyachenko was transferred to the St. Volodymyr Imperial Kyiv University, where he continued to serve until his retirement (he served here for over 28 years). In 1840, he was appointed to the rank of full professor. Since 1862 - honored professor of the university.

During 1839-1844, he gave public lectures on practical mechanics in Kharkiv.

He received a number of state awards: in 1845 he was awarded the Order of St. Anna 3rd degree, in 1849 - the Order of St. Anna 2nd degree, in 1857 - the Order of St. Anna 2nd degree with an imperial crown, in 1867 - the Order of St. Vladimir 4 degree, he also received the Award for 25 years of impeccable service, as well as the Bronze medal on the St. Andrew's ribbon in memory of the war of 1853-1856.

At the St. Vladimir Imperial Kyiv University in 1840, taking a chair in which almost all pure and applied mathematics was concentrated, he studied differential and integral calculus and their application to geometry, integration of functions from one variable, using the works of Euler, Lagrange, Cauchy and Leroy , theory of definite integrals, integration of differential equations, algebraic analysis, calculus of variations and , Moignot and Duhamel, as well as according to his own notes. In addition, he taught statics and dynamics, and in the IV course hydrostatics and hydrodynamics, which he taught under the guidance of Poisson, and conducted practical classes on these subjects.

On October 25, 1847, he was elected dean and kept this position until 1855, then he was elected for two more four-year terms, from May 7, 1860 and from November 3, 1862.

In 1863, he received the title of valid state adviser.

He died on April 9 (according to the Julian calendar or 21 according to the Gregorian calendar) on April 1877 in the Kyiv City.

The main works of M. A. Dyachenko belong to the field of mathematical analysis and its application in other sections of mathematics and mechanics. In addition, he fruitfully and actively engaged in astronomy.

For some time he worked together with his younger brother A. A. Dyachenko.
