Biography:
He was born in 1809 (according to other sources in 1816) in the family of a priest of the Lithuanian Greek-Uniate Spiritual Consistory.
A graduate of Volyn Lyceum.
In 1839 he graduated from the St. Vladimir Imperial Kyiv University where he finished the course of mathematical sciences in 1839 with the title of candidate.
He worked as a mathematics teacher, then as a senior teacher at the Klevan (now Rivne) gymnasium since 1839.
In 1943 after a four-month probationary period, V. F. Fedorov decided to approve the St. Vladimir Imperial Kyiv University as an astronomer-observer of the Astronomical Observatory of St. Vladimir Imperial Kyiv University.
He actively helped to V. F. Fedorov to install new instruments in the observatory, was the first to observe the observations on a large passage instrument of the observatory, regularly conducted the work of the Time Service - determined the corrections of clocks and chronometers. In addition, he determined the geographical coordinates of the observatory and several points of the Volyn province. He also compiled an astronomical calendar for 1845, which was published in Kyiv City.
He took part in observations of a total solar eclipse organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1951. He conducted observations in Bratslav city, in the present-day Nemyriv district of the Vinnytsia region of Ukraine.
According to the Statute of the St. Vladimir Imperial Kyiv University, the astronomer-observer had to have a master's degree. In 1851 he began to take the master's exams, but a sudden serious illness suddenly ended his life on June 20, 1852.
