The XPM Catalog  Absolute proper motions of 280 million stars distributed all over the sky without gaps in the magnitude range 10m < V <20m on the basis of combined data from 2MASS and USNO-A2.0 catalogues.

MAO NASU Plate Archive   Digital archive of MAO NAS of Ukraine (GPA) comprises data of about 26 thousands of direct photographic plates, obtained with 14 instruments in 9 observational sites, and more than 2000 digital images of different resolution available via GPA search pages.

Mykolaiv AO Plate Archive   Digital archive of Mykolaiv Aastronomical Observatory (MykAO) includes astronomical data obtained during observations with photo plates and CCD frames. The digitization of the archive is near its completion. Digitized images are available via a web browser and Aladin.

AO LNU Plate Archive   Astronomical Observatory of Lviv National University (AO LNU) is the owner of valuable archive that stores approximately 8 000 of photographic plates from 1939, including nearly 6 000 direct images of the northern sky. The archive is partly digitized and images are available via the joint search pages of AO LNU and MAO NASU.

IRA UTR-2 catalogue of RS   The very-low frequency sky survey of discrete sources has been obtained in the Institute of Radio Astronomy of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences (Kharkov, Ukraine) with the UTR-2 radio telescope at a number of the lowest frequencies used in contemporary radio astronomy within the range from 10 to 25 MHz.

GRID-based Virtual Observatory VIRGO.UA
VO VIRGO.UA for cosmology and astrophysics is a segment of VO «Infrastructure»- a virtual organization, which deals with ensuring the provision of standards for Grid Services for virtual organizations, to ensure reliability functioning of the Ukrainian power grid, Grid training for users and administrators of the Grid sites, as well as the creation of technical conditions UNG for entry into the international grid community...

WDC-Ukraine
WDC-Ukraine is a part of World Data Center System of the International Council of Science (ICSU). Among the basic tasks of WDC-Ukraine there is collection, handling and storage of science data and giving access to it for usage both in science research and study process. That include contemporary tutoring technologies and resources of e-libraries and archives; remote access to own information resources for the wide circle of scientists from the universities and science institutions of Ukraine...

VOPlot v1.8 Beta
VOPlot v1.8Beta includes many enhancements and bug fixes. To name a few v1.8Beta supports multi-grid plots for 2D Scatter-Plot which allows the user to have multiple plots having grid size from 1x1 to 3x3 in a single window. Paginated view is added to see data in tabular format which allows user to navigate systematically. Provision to label Lat/Long lines is also added. Users can now plot a cumulative histogram for all histogram types. VOPlot 1.8Beta shows the metadata of a FITS file instantaneously while the actual loading happens in background. VOPlot v1.8Beta also provides better handling of "faulty data" while parsing an ASCII file.

Biography:

He was born February 19, 1937 in Nikolaev city. He was the fourth of eight children of Ivan Ivanovch Chyuryumova, staff officer of the Soviet Army, and poet Antonina Mikhailovna Churyumova (maiden name -Aleksandrova).

Because his father was a soldier, the family often had to move from place to place. The war found their local self Zhytomyr region, where they survived the first bombing. When the Germans came to town, they are under the bombs landed on the ship that sailed down the Volga to Astrakhan, then - across the Caspian Sea to Gurieva (now Almaty) at the mouth of the Urals, then the Urals to the Urals and from there by train to Novosibirsk region (p . Kirza on the river Ob), which were in 1944 returned there in Mykhailivka Stalingrad area where Klim went to school. His father died during the Second World War in May 1942 near Kharkiv city.

In 1949 the family moved to Kyiv. After seventh grade, he entered the Kiev Railway College, graduating with honors in 1955. He got a recommendation for admission to higher education.

In 1960 graduated at the Department of Astronomy and Space Physics T. G. Shevchenko Kyiv Order of Lenin State University in "Physics-Astronomy" and he was sent to the polar geophysical station in Tiksi Bay Yakut ASSR. There he studied the aurora, earth currents and the ionosphere.

In 1962, when he returned to Kyiv, went to work at the factory "Arsenal", where he participated in the development astronavigation equipment for rockets and tested it at the Baikonur Cosmodrome and Plesetsk.

During the 1965-1968 he enrolled in graduate school at Kiev National University majoring in "Astrophysics" under the guidance of Prof. S. K Vsehsvjatsky. After this, the remaining work researcher at the Department of Astronomy at KNU. Watched the comet at the suburban station of Kiev University in the village forester during astronomical expeditions in the highlands of Central Asia, the Caucasus, Siberia, in Primorsky Krai, the Chukotka and Kamchatka.

In 1969 he participated in the expedition that university dressed in three persons: Klim Churyumov and Svetlana Gerasimenko and other person, to observe periodic comet in Alma-Ata, in Astrophysical Institute (now the Astrophysical Institute of the V. G. Fesenkov).

In 1972 he defended his PhD dissertation "Reseach of comets of Ikeyya-Seki (1967n), Honda (1968s), Tago-Sato-Kosak (1969) and a new short-period Churyumov-Gerasimenko's comet from photographic observations."

In 1993 he defended his doctoral dissertation "Evolutionary physical processes in comets" in the Space Research Institute of RAS (Moscow). held in re MAO NASU in 1995.

Since 1998 professor working at the Astronomical Observatory of Kiev University, head of astrometry and small bodies of the solar system. In January of 2004 by the Presidium of the Society "Knowledge", he was appointed director of the educational center "Kyiv Planetarium." He also holds the position of President of the Ukrainian Society of Astronomy. He is a member of the International Astronomical Union in 1979, the European Astronomical Union in 1992, Ukrainian Astronomical Association since 1992; Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine in 1998 For many years he was the Scientific Secretary of the Working Group on Physics of Comets Astronomical Council of the USSR. Since 1984 he is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine since May 6, 2006.

He was awarded the Order "For Merit III degree."

He was a member of the International Astronomical Society "AstrO".

On October 14, 2016, the astronomer died due to a stroke in Kharkiv and was buried in Kyiv.

Major works are devoted to the physics of small bodies in the solar system: comets and asteroids. He has published more than 800 scientific publications, including 4 books and 4 manuals. There was a scientific consultant on astronomy during the second edition of Ukrainian Soviet Encyclopedia. He discovered two comets: short-period comets Chyuryumova-Gerasimenko in 1969 and long-period Chyuryumov-Solodovnikov's comet in 1986 his name in 1984 named the planet №2627, and astronomer Nikolai Stepanovich Chernykh named by him open asteroid number 3942 name "Churivanniya" after two Ivan Churyumov, who are Klim Ivanovich Churyumov's father and brother.

It is known as a children's writer and poet. He is the author of popular science books and children's writer - the author of several collections of poems for kids ("kids of specialties", "kids about animals", "baby on boat", "Math for kids" (co-author), "The Adventures of Dino dinosaur"). Author of more than 1000 popular science articles in various newspapers and magazines.

Eleven PhD theses in physics of comets and the theory and methods of teaching astronomy were protected under the leadership of K.I. Churyumov.
